Darkroom and Developing; Ilford
Multigrade IV resin coated glossy black and white darkroom paper comes
in 12 x 16 sheets. This paper is a photographic paper on a base which
is resin coated. The Ilford Multigrade is a premium paper specifically
for developing prints with the deep black you want on a white
background. This is one developing paper that can be stored for a long
period of time before being used. A Unicolor print and processing drum
is for developing prints, either black and white or color. The drum is
large enough for one 8 x 10, two 5 x 7s or four 4 x 5 prints. Ilford
Perceptol film developer is one of the recommended types for black and
white photos. This is bought by the packet which is then used to make
one liter of solution. Then the liter is again diluted by using one
part stock solution to three parts water. This is a fine grain
developer which makes better image quality. Should you want to use it
for enlarging negatives from 35mm cameras, the grain size does not
increase, it stays at a minimum which keeps the pictures from appearing
too mottled when enlarged. The best way to dry your prints is to invest
in a 16 x 12 print dryer. The Photographic Darkroom print dryer will
dry up to four prints at a time and has three settings. Cold air, warm
air, and hot air make this print dryer a good value when you are ready
to dry your resin prints. The size is a good fit in your darkroom as
well at 6 inches high by 17.25 inches wide and 19.75 inches deep.
